burning belly fat or working on abs?
I’ve been running 4 miles every day at like 6.7 pace after that I go and work on my “abs” I actually don’t wanna work on them until some of my bulges go away! How can I burn my belly fat instead on building up abs?? because it seems that exercises I do, work on my abs instead on my belly. HELP??
I do not think you have been going about it right.
There is only one way to lose fat in the so-called “stubborn areas,” and that is with the correct combination of proper diet, aerobic exercise, abdominal training, and weight training. Training the abdominals every day with hundreds of repetitions will certainly tighten and tone the muscles, but it will do almost nothing to remove the fat obscuring the muscles. In fact, it is possible to have a great set of abs that you can’t even see because they are covered up with a layer of fat!
Aerobic exercise is the real secret to burning fat. Walking, jogging, bicycling, elliptical exercise and stair climbing are all great fat burners.
You should do this at least three or four days per week, but five, six, or even seven days a week will take off fat at the fastest rate possible if that’s what you want! Getting a six pack involves 20% exercise and 80% diet. For diet, keep a diary for a couple of weeks counting calories, grams of protein, and grams of fat intake. Use online sources of nutritional information (type the name of the food and calories into the Google search) and packaging labels. That will let you quickly figure out where the fat is coming from in your diet.
Fat generally gives you 9 calories per gram. Take the number of grams of fat, multiply by 9, then calculate what percentage the fat calories are of your total daily calories. Restricting the calories from fat to about 20% of your total intake is ideal for a maintenance diet. You need some fat in your diet as the body uses fat to produce hormones. Diary products should be used discriminately.
