can cellulite be treated
Cellulite is a very serious condition and if left untreated, can cause some problems even life threatening. If you suspect that you have cellulite, this article is a must read. You get the facts about the disease: what it is, what causes it and how to treat. Early detection and treatment is very important.
So what exactly is cellulite? Cellulite is actually an inflammation of the connective tissue of the skin. This inflammation can be caused by a series things like staph, strep and other bacterial infections.
Our skin normally has a number of different bacteria that live in it. This rarely be a problem until the skin is broken somehow. What happens then is that the bacteria enter the body in this break. Once inside our bodies that cause infections which then result in inflammation. Once this occurs, the tissue of the skin becomes hot and very painful.
The most common areas affected by cellulite are the legs and arms, but you can have this problem in almost any part of the body including the hands and feet. The most common ways for people to get cellulite are through insect bites, an injury or cut, diabetes, cracks in the toes, and even through the use of certain medications corticosteroids.
The symptoms of cellulitis vary depending on the severity. The most common symptoms are skin redness, swelling, tenderness, a look stretched skin, rash, fever, chills, tremors, fatigue, muscle aches and just a general feeling of not being quite right. The More severe symptoms include vomiting, joint stiffness and loss of hair.
Cellulite, as I said, is a very serious condition and in cases ends may require hospitalization where intravenous antibiotics will most likely be necessary. In less serious cases, outpatient treatment and oral antibiotics may be sufficient. Antibiotics are necessary to control the infection.
The prognosis for the treatment of cellulite is usually good if the problem detected early. Typically, the treatment itself lasts about seven to ten days. Normally, after that period of time, cures the disease.
However, there may be some very serious complications of cellulitis, if not detected early and treated promptly. These complications include gangrene, which leads to loss of extremity, sepsis, meningitis, if you have cellulitis of the face, and lymphangitis, which is an inflammation of the lymph nodes.
If you have any of the symptoms above, please call your doctor immediately. Cellulite, if not diagnosed and treated early, can be a very serious problem.
To their health,
