How You Can Lose Your Belly Bulge
Postpartum: How do you get your old body back? Especially your belly???
I’m 13 weeks pregnant with baby #1, and I am soooo afraid of losing my body – especially the stomach area. I always had a very flat belly, and even at 13 weeks, I’m noticing a little bulge.
My sister-in-law was always super skinny, but even after birth, she now has a belly that can not go away with diet and exercise.
I want to know if anyone knows of any tricks, other than diet and exercise, that can really keep your belly nice and flat postpartum…

It’s a genetics thing, I think. You’re right, diet and exercise will only do so much. Before I got pregnant, I was 104, really skinny and flat belly. After my first, I lost all 58 lbs I gained, but still had a little pouch. I’m 4 months out from my second, and only have about 6 lbs left to go, and unfortunately that pouch is still there, bigger even. Of course, I had a csection with my first so I’m sure that contributes.
Anyway, there is hope, especially since you have a flat belly pre-pregnancy. My mom, who is the same size as me, had 4 kids and her belly is still super flat. And the kicker, she hasn’t really exercised since, well, probably since high school. Some people just have bodies that snap back.
On a positive note, having a little pouch is still so totally worth the joy having a child brings into your life! Congrats on your pregnancy!
