calcium and belly fat
Help!! I need a vet’s advice!!?
I am a bat carer and I am currently caring for two twin fully-grown microbats. They have been in care since they were babies and will not be released as they have rickets. Apart from this, they are healthy and fat. They eat mealworms (Which I add calcium to and more recently ‘Wombaroo Insectivore Mix’), and occasionally, cow’s milk. One of the bats is nearly totally hairless, with no apparent flaking skin or redness. He has been scratching a bit but not any more than I would expect as normal cleaning of himself. His twin brother has had thick healthy fur for a long time, but I have just noticed some hair loss on his belly and the skin is flaking, but he is not itching and the skin is not red or inflamed. I was just wondering what I can do help them grow their hair back. Is it a skin condition?? Or a vitamin or mineral deficiency?? I would appreciate any advice…
sounds like they need daily dose of vitamin C,they have scurvy
