belly tumor or fat
My rat has a bump under her skin?
My rat Bella has a very small lump under her skin. It is right under her arm on her belly almost, and is the size of a rat’s eye, or a push pin’s diameter. (It is VERY small for a mammary tumor and I haven’t noticed it before.) I am aware of mammary tumors, but Bella is just about a year old so Im not quite sure that she is old enough to get tumors. If it isn’t a tumor, then what else could it possibly be and what can I do to stop it? P.S. Bella hasn’t shown any signs of discomfort and she seems to be healthy other than the bump. P.S.S The bump is in Bella’s fat from what I can tell, and is soft and is able to move.
Bella should be examined by a vet, who can tell you what the bump is & offer treatment options. The bump could be a tumor, even though she’s relatively young. It could also be a simple fatty growth, a cyst or an abscess. Good luck with her.
