Strength Training Lose Belly Fat

strength training lose belly fat

what kind of diet should i have with working out and trying to lose weight?

Ok so I am 5 7″ 140 lbs. I am trying to lose belly fat. I am working out intensily, 3 days cardio and 3 days strength training, 30-45 mins everyday.

This is what i eat

breakfast 8.30 am: protein shake (40g), followed by cereal an hour later (9.30 am)
lunch 11.30 am: vegetable salad, no meat ( I am a vegetarian)
3.00 pm: fruit salad
6.00 pm: 2 whole wheat tortilla’s and vegetables
8.00pm: excercise
9:30-10: Protein shake and maybe cereal (40 g of pro)

Is this good? what should I add or take off?

thanks all

Well whole wheat tortillas or not, tortillas are not good for losing weight. (I really prefer 100% whole wheat bread instead, if you insist on such foods)

But the basics of a muscle gaining / weight loss plan are to eat high protein, low fat / sugar / salt and eat a LIMITED amount of carbs, enough so that you will have energy for your excercises.

Make sure your cereal doesnt have high fructose corn syrup or too much sugar
